My Goals for 2018

The sad thing is I didn't really have goals for last year. I think I just tried to survive. Sometimes that is the best one can do.  Perhaps this year, I can do a little better.  So since I didn't have a traditional goal post like I have done in the past few years, I'll steal a few ideas from a couple years ago.  I hope to check in once a month or every 3 months to see how I am doing.

Personal 
Read 12 books - Most will be read on vacations, sad to say
Make up Routine
Finish Violin Volume 1
Eat Greens daily

Marriage/
Ministry/Family 
Read 4 marriage books
Write a "love" note each week
THM Meal Prep
Write one positive thing a week to read at the end of the year.

Children/Homeschooling

Do 1 fun outing/activity per month
Establish game night 
Special day for each child, once a month
Check work once a week


Blogging

Weekly THM Menu
Try a 1 new recipe a month and blog about it
Write 12 book reviews
Monthly Goals

I also have picked a word for the year. Determination.  That is what I feel I have been lacking the past few years. Discouraging situations and trials have been a real struggle.  This past year I learned more about how I was making it worse by allowing people to treat me badly, instead of standing up for myself. I hope to find myself deep down somewhere, lost in the drama and trama in the past few years that really wreck havoc on my life. So here's so a new year. One that will be better than next year and one that will be better, by HIS grace and my determination.

THM New Habits Challenge 2018

I am wanting to start a few new habits that are THM related. Anyone want to join me? The challenge group will run for 6 weeks. I am going to pick 3 things to do for 6 weeks to help me better my THM journey.  Anyone want to join me?  We will start our challenge on December 31st, 2017 and end February 11, 2018.  THM does not manage or endorse the group’s content.

For the first 6 weeks I want to be consistent in:

Make Skinny Chocolate once a week.
Weekly Meal Prepping.
Eating something green daily.

If this is something you want to join in and keep me accountable, there are 2 ways to do it. Join my FB challenge group or on IG #THMnewhabitschallenge2018.  If you want to join the group I will expect you to check in weekly with pictures or participating in discussions. I want the group to help keep me be accountable. So if you don't plan to post weekly, the IG challenge might be a better fit.  All you need to "join" is posting a picture of your prepping or meal to keep each other encouraged to keep going.  This group is about building new habits to help us in our journey. If we mess up, that is ok. Just restart again in 3 hours.

Once this challenge is over I will hopefully have 3 new habits along with you!  I will take a week break to make SURE the habits STICK, and I will have a new set of 3 habits for the next 6 weeks.

So far picking 3-4 different recipes a week is fairly accurate with what I make/use each week. It is less work and effort on my part if I make extra for leftovers. I also meal prep 2 days a week.  It works better since I have to also meal prep for my husband's daily meals.

THM Menu December 4-10, 2017

Its December already. Do you all have snow yet? It doesn't seem like winter until I have snow on the ground. Silly I know. Can't take the north outta the girl I guess. So what's on your menu this week?  Anything good I should add to mine?  Trying to get a few more E meals in mine. I can do S meals just fine, but I am Es are more of a struggle.

I have found that I need to choose 3 different recipes each for breakfast, lunch, supper, and snacks. I make one to eat and then save one for the next day.

So without further chit chat here is my menu!
