THM Trim Healthy Table Menu May 27 - June 2, 2019



I was watching a neat vlog called Our Tribe of Many and they were going through THT trying each recipe. I thought what a good idea! I have made almost ALL the recipes in the original book and the Trim Healthy Cookbook. This year I am cooking through Trim Healthy Table.  I have made a few recipes from the cookbook, but not as many as I would like obviously.  I don't really have any favorites yet. I have made so few recipes. Exactly why I am making a goal to cook through the Trim Healthy Table cookbook this year! What recipes have YOU tried and LOVED?

It took me a year to cook through the THM Cookbook. I have attempted to schedule the WHOLE book for the year and I haven't finished yet.  I am kinda afraid to commit to a year schedule because we tend to shop and cook with the ingredients that I find on sale or cheap. So although I am sure that works well for some, it does not work for my family and budget. I did a schedule for a month at a time the past few weeks and I struggled to finish up the menu. For this season in life I need to shop weekly to get the best price for the produce etc.

April Goals Update

How April went-


Personal
Make up/Vitamins Routine -I did a little. Need to work on it
Walk/Exercise 3 times a week - I did start running
Memorize Psalm 37 = 1 verse a week - Sadly I didn't do anything
Start Vlogging - after I get my goals and menus etc consistent on the blog - I am still waiting on a computer.
Seasonal Recipe collection - Finish by November -Single and Family serving -I haven't started on this yet.
Christmas Countdown in the Fall -Starts in October -I haven't found my book yet???
Cook and blog/vlog my cook through Trim Healthy Table. - I have only blogged about it so far.

Marriage/
Ministry/Family 
Read 4 marriage books -I have read one already!
Write a "love" note each week - Oops!
Write one positive thing a week to read at the end of the year.I struggle with this, not because positive things don't happen. I simply do NOT remember.

Children/Homeschooling
-I'm still struggling to do this with my older crew.

Special day for each child 
Once a month, do 1 fun outing/activity.
Establish game night 
Check work once a week-school

THM New Habits Challenge 2019 Round 2

I would like to continue some new habits that are THM related this year. Anyone want to join me? The challenge group will run for 6-8 weeks. I am going to pick 3 things to do for 6+ weeks to help me better my THM journey.  Anyone want to join me?  We will start our next challenge on April 14, and ends May 31st , 2019.  THM does not manage or endorse the group’s content.

For the next 6 weeks I want to be consistent in:


-Eating Okra at least 3 times a week.
-Drinking 1 gallon of water or liquid a day. - does NOT including anything caffeine.
-Eat a salads worth of green 5 days a week.  Participating in MSM IG Salad a day challenge.


If this is something you want to join in and keep me accountable, there are 2 ways to do it. Join my FB challenge group or on IG #THMnewhabitschallenge2019.  If you want to join the group I will expect you to check in weekly with pictures or participating in discussions. I want the group to help keep me be accountable. So if you don't plan to post weekly, the IG challenge might be a better fit.  All you need to "join" is posting a picture of your prepping or meal to keep each other encouraged to keep going.  This group is about building new habits to help us in our journey. If we mess up, that is ok. Just restart again in 3 hours.

Once this challenge is over I will hopefully have 3 new habits along with you! I will have a new set of 3 habits for the next challenge weeks.
